Meeting between the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan Jumakhonzoda Jamshed Jurakhon with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Tajikistan Igor Semenovich Lyakin-Frolov

      February 28, 2019, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan Jumakhonzoda Jamshed Jurakhon met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Tajikistan Igor Semenovich Lyakin-Frolov.

      During the meeting, the participants discussed trade and economic cooperation, in particular, the issues of strengthening cooperation between the business community of the two countries in the priority areas of economic development. “It should be noted that in the context of increased market demand, there is an obvious need to vitalize Tajikistan-Russian trade and economic interests and transfer them to a new level”, said Jumakhonzoda Jamshed.

      A serious legislative and legal framework has been created in Tajikistan, ensuring serious investments in the economy. With the assistance and support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, successful business negotiations, presentations and meetings were held, and a program of further partnership cooperation in the field of exhibition and fair activities and holding the annual International Exhibition “Tajikistan-2019” (Spring) at the State Complex Kohi Borbad in Dushanbe, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan and scheduled on March 28-31, 2019. Business community of the Russian Federation also plans to take part in this exhibition.

     In addition, they discussed the establishment of a Business Council for Cooperation with the Russian Federation. This, in turn, will contribute to more sustainable relationships for the operation of business structures in a competitive environment.

   During the meeting, mutually beneficial proposals on the establishment of joint ventures, product deliveries, investments and the holding of the Business Forum with the participation of business community in the near future were discussed along with other important issues. The meeting proved the increased attention of the parties in the implementation of joint projects and expansion of sales markets.
