Tajikistan and Italy are opened for dialogue
February 26, 2019, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jumakhonzoda Jamshed Jurakhon welcomed the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Italy to the Republic of Tajikistan with a residence in Tashkent Andrea Bertozzi at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss the potential of Tajik-Italian cooperation, the expansion of mutually beneficial economic relations.
The issues on the establishment of economic cooperation, strengthening of these relations in the future were discussed during the meeting.
Expressing the interest in expanding business cooperation, Jumakhonzoda Jamshed noted that the Chamber’s goal is to actively assist Italian companies in finding reliable business partners, to ensure their sustainable presence in Tajikistan by promoting trade and improving the competitiveness of entrepreneurs.
“I believe that business communities should develop and expand cooperation in terms of economic relations between our countries. Tajik entrepreneurs are interested in developing cooperation with Italian manufacturers. We highly appreciate the current Tajik-Italian cooperation and express the hope for the intensification of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Italy.”
Mr. Andrea Bertozzi paid particular attention on the information on ongoing economic reforms in Tajikistan; favorable investment climate, tax benefits and preferences for foreign investors in the Sughd, Panj, Dangara, Ishkashim FEZs; investment projects in the field of energy, water resources, machinery, mining, processing, woodworking, light, food and textile industry, urban planning, agriculture, business education, health and tourism.
Explored to date mineral deposits create the prospects for the mining industry development of the most diverse profile. The landscapes of the mountain region, numerous mineral springs/ surface and underground/, create a unique development capacity for international mountain and rock climbing, recreational complexes, mountain road rallies.
Andrea Bertozzi commended such approach as readiness for the most open dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation with Tajikistan, which Italy considers as an economic partner.
“I hope that in the near future business communities of our countries will achieve even greater development of trade relations and information exchange. Also, as a result of the meeting, our companies will recieve more information about the markets of Italy and Tajikistan and will achieve specific results.”
The parties noted the importance of exchanging business information and events held for the development of relations between the business communities of the two countries.
