ONLINE MEETING WITH THE ASSOCIATION OF SPANISH COMPANIES”SERCOBE”

On July 21, 2020, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Swiss Confederation and the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan and State Unitary Enterprise “Tajinvest” held the first online video conference on “Prospects and opportunities for investing in Tajikistan ”with the participation of the Association of Spanish Companies. The videoconference was attended by the Chairman of the CCI RT – Jumakhonzoda Jamshed Jurakhon., Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Swiss Confederation – Khomidov Jamshed Tagoyevich., Ismoilzoda Khakim – Deputy Head of the Investment Promotion Department of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management., Javokhirlar – Deputy Director Tajinvest “; Joachim Siegert is an advisor to the State Unitary Enterprise “Tajinvest”, as well as Dr. Antonio Alonso Marcos with representatives of the companies of the “SERCOBE” Association.

During the videoconference, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamshed Jumakhonzoda and the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Swiss Confederation – Khomidov Jamshed made speeches, emphasizing the investment attractiveness, prospects and opportunities of the Republic of Tajikistan, drawing the attention of Spanish entrepreneurs to the activities of Free Economic Zones and the possibility of exporting products to regional markets.

Representatives of State Committee on Investment and State Property Management Hakim., Javohirlar Muzaffari and Joachim Siegert made presentations on investment opportunities in Tajikistan, priority sectors, preferences, as well as a presentation of the B2B Business Portal.

They discussed issues related to the organization of business missions of Spanish and Tajik companies, the import of Spanish technologies, the possibility of exporting Tajik products to the Spanish market, as well as participation in exhibitions held in both countries.

The parties agreed that contacts between the parties will continue and after the stabilization of the situation with the coronavirus pandemic, negotiations will begin on the implementation of the directly achieved plans.
