DEVELOPMENT OF E-COMMERCE IN TAJIKISTAN – THE BASIS FOR SUPPORTING THE PRIVATE SECTOR IN THE CONTEXT OF THE COVID-19.
On 4 November, the Chairman of the Chamber of commerce and industry of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Jumakhonzoda Jamshed with Head of the United Nations Development Programme in the Republic of Tajikistan, Mrs. Pratibha Mehta, held an online meeting. At this meeting was also attended by Deputy Chairman of the CCI RT – Rustamova M.A, Head of department on work with the members of the CCI RT-Yuldasheva M, and UNDP representatives Saidhadzhaev F, Jalilov Z. Ismailova A.
The purpose of this online meeting was to discuss issues of further cooperation between the CCI of Tajikistan and UNDP in Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the chamber of commerce and industry of the Republic of Tajikistan gave brief information on the ongoing activities of the Chamber of commerce and industry aimed at supporting the private sector during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as new initiatives to support the private sector.
The parties noted the importance of these events, and also considered issues related to the prospects and plans for joint work for 2021.
In the view of the current situation around the world, the discussion focused on the development of e-commerce in Tajikistan.
