Agreement was signed on the establishment of the Business Council of Tajikistan and Afghanistan
On March 29, 2021, within the framework of the visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Muhammad Ashraf Ghani to the Republic of Tajikistan, an Agreement was signed on the establishment of the Tajik-Afghan Business Council between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Chamber of Industry and Mines of Afghanistan.
The Business Council is called upon to assist in the expansion and development of business contacts and mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajik and Afghan entrepreneurs, as well as in joining efforts and organizing a constructive dialogue between the business circles of Tajikistan and Afghanistan, interested in the progressive development and increasing the effectiveness of Tajik-Afghan business cooperation.
Currently, the parties are working on the creation of national parts of the Business Council, as well as preparatory work for the first meeting of the Business Council.
It is expected that the platform of the Business Council will also contribute to the development of cross-border trade between the two countries.
