May 19, 2022 in Dushanbe in the hotel «Hyatt Regency Dushanbe» held a Business Forum of entrepreneurs of Tajikistan and Turkey, organized in the framework of the implementation of decisions on economic cooperation of the 11th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of Tajikistan and Turkey.

The Forum was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan and with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Turkey.

The Forum was attended by representatives of 21 Turkish companies in the fields of: light industry, machinery, agricultural machinery, agricultural products, furniture and etc.

On the Tajik side, more than 100 entrepreneurs of the business community from all regions of Tajikistan participated in the event.

In the welcoming speech of the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan Jumakhonzod Jamshed the important role of small and medium business in strengthening and development of trade and economic relations between Tajikistan and Turkey, development of cooperation between the countries was noted.

Dr. Çetin Ali Donmez, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, expressed the readiness of businesses of Turkey for cooperation.

Welcoming speeches were also made by Mr. Farhod Bilolzoda, Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mr. Emre Zeki Karagöl, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Tajikistan.

During the event, presentations were made on “Updated Tax Code of Tajikistan”; “FEZ Tajikistan”; “Information for Investors”; “Cotton Processing Possibilities in Tajikistan”; “Presentation of achievements of Coca-Cola Company”.

The second part of the business forum was held in the format of B2B meetings, which allowed Tajik entrepreneurs to conduct direct negotiations with representatives of Turkish companies.
