Foreign economic activities
International relations, one of the important activities of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan against the background of the intensifying trade and economic relations of the Republic, are full of important events. Possessing extensive experience in foreign economic activity and extensive international relations, the Chamber contributes to the development intergovernmental economic cooperation.
The message of the Chairman of the Chamber Sharif Said “On Cooperation” was sent to 180 UN member countries in the world and more than 700 recipients. The number of Chambers of Commerce, international and financial institutions that maintain mutually beneficial relations with Tajikistan has currently increased. This creates favorable conditions for integration. Today, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry has more than 500 agreements on cooperation with Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the near and far abroad countries. They provide for close cooperation in the organization of congresses, business forums, business missions, exhibitions, training, information exchange, etc.
The high level of cooperation is ensured by the membership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan in the World Federation of Chambers of Commerce (WCF), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Council for Cooperation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the CIS, Baltic, Central and Eastern European States, International Congress of Industrials and Entrepreneurs (ICIE), Islamic Chamber of Commerce, ECO Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI).
An analysis of the foreign policy of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2003-2013 serves as convincing evidence to the correctness of the chosen objectives. The international authority of the republic has grown immeasurably in these years. As a result of this policy, opportunities for the further development and strengthening of the positions of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry have emerged. The ongoing foreign economic activity of the Chamber is in demand by business.
Meetings, scientific conferences, presentations, seminars, trainings, business forums, and exhibition events are held at a high level with the participation of business community.
In general from 2003 to the present time, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry was visited by diplomatic missions, government and business community from the CIS countries, the Baltic States, Great Britain, the USA, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, Cuba, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, and Croatia, Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, India, Afghanistan, Japan and others. During these meetings and negotiations, a constructive dialogue on mutually beneficial primarily in the trade and economic spheres cooperation took place.
