On July 24, 2026, a meeting was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan between Deputy Chairman Rajabzoda Haydar Usmon and Guo Xiaoguang, Deputy Director-General of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, along with other representatives of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and Guangdong Province of the People’s Republic of China.

The parties exchanged views on expanding cooperation in the areas of investment, industry, the import of modern machinery and technologies, the establishment of joint ventures, the development of e-commerce, and other priority areas.

The meeting also addressed the participation of entrepreneurs and companies from both sides in economic events, international exhibitions and business forums, as well as the possibility of organizing joint international exhibitions in Dushanbe.

It was noted during the meeting that relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China are currently developing dynamically under the wise leadership of the heads of the two states in the spirit of sincere friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation, and have reached a high level of comprehensive strategic partnership. The People’s Republic of China is one of the important and reliable partners of the Republic of Tajikistan in the fields of trade, economy and investment.

The parties also exchanged views on ways to strengthen cooperation between entrepreneurs and manufacturers from Tajikistan and Guangdong Province, organize business meetings, exchange experience, conduct study visits, and participate jointly in sector-specific and international events.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue constructive cooperation and expand mutually beneficial interaction within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, emphasizing that strengthening direct ties between chambers of commerce and industry, relevant authorities, entrepreneurs and companies of Tajikistan and Guangdong Province will create favorable conditions for the further development of trade and economic relations.
