MEETING OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN WITH THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BELARUSIAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY

On July 27, 2026, in Minsk, on the sidelines of the 19th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Belarus on Trade and Economic Cooperation, a meeting was held between Farhodshoh Rahmonalizoda, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Mikhail Myatlikov, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the discussion, which took place in an open and constructive atmosphere, the parties reviewed the current state of bilateral cooperation, the conclusion of trade agreements, and strategic steps aimed at revitalizing the activities of the Joint Business Council.

Farhodshoh Rahmonalizoda noted that, thanks to the wise policies of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, H.E. Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Republic of Belarus, H.E. Alexander Lukashenko, trade and economic relations between the two countries continue to demonstrate positive growth. During the first six months of 2026, bilateral trade turnover increased by 6.3 percent.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that, despite the positive indicators, Tajikistan’s actual export potential has not yet been fully utilized. The parties agreed to focus their trade relations on deeper industrial cooperation and the establishment of joint ventures.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation.

The meetings and negotiations scheduled within the framework of the Intergovernmental Commission are continuing.
