MEETING OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN

On March 13, 2026, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, Rahmonalizoda Farkhodshhoh Rahmonali, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Tajikistan, Valikhan Amirkhanuli Turekhanov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for developing economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of expanding direct ties between the business communities of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.

Rahmonalizoda F.R. noted that Kazakhstan is one of Tajikistan's main trading partners, with trade turnover between the two countries amounting to $1.2 billion. The parties emphasized the need to implement the instructions and recommendations of the heads of state to increase bilateral trade to $2 billion by 2030. In this context, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce considered it important to intensify the activities of the Tajik-Kazakh Business Council and expressed the Tajik side's readiness to hold the fourth meeting of the Business Council in Dushanbe in 2026.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce also invited representatives of Kazakhstani businesses to participate in the international exhibition "Inter Health and Beauty Tajikistan 2026," which will be held in Dushanbe in April 2026.

Concluding the meeting, the parties expressed their willingness to develop cooperation between the chambers of commerce and industry and the business communities of the two countries and, in this context, to expand economic and trade ties.
