On May 7, 2025, a grand opening ceremony of the representative office of the Federal Association of German Small and Medium Enterprises (BVMW) in Tajikistan was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to the Federal Republic of Germany Imomuddin Sattorov and the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Tajikistan Jörg Schugraf.

The opening of the representative office of the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises of Germany at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan was made possible thanks to the initiative and active support of the Embassy of Tajikistan in Germany.

The SME Association unites more than 1 million German companies. The main goal of the Association is to support companies entering international markets.

The Association opened its office in Dushanbe, this is already the 93rd office. The Association's interaction with business communities around the world promotes cooperation without intermediaries. Tajik entrepreneurs have great prospects for establishing business ties and using the opportunities provided by the German Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses.

Also on May 7, a meeting of Tajik and German businessmen was held at the Serena Hotel in Dushanbe. The German delegation included representatives of 18 large German companies from the banking sector, agriculture, insurance, construction, transport, pharmaceuticals, pet food manufacturers and others. The event was attended by representatives of leading companies of the business community of Tajikistan.

At the conference in Dushanbe, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan and the German Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses "BVMW" and a Memorandum of Understanding between the Tajik airline Somon Air LLC and Trier-Hahn Airport in Germany.

Also within the framework of the Business Forum, B2B meetings were held between entrepreneurs from both countries.
