On June 15, 2026, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahmonalizoda Farhodshoh Rahmonali and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Enjaz Human Resources Company, Co-Chairman of the Saudi part of the Joint Business Council of Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia, Muhammad bin Saleh Al-Suwaih.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing that the current volume of trade turnover between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia is at an initial level. It was noted that, given the favorable political conditions and the will of the top leaders of the two countries, there is a huge untapped economic potential that can significantly increase the volume of bilateral trade.

Rahmonalizoda F. R. noted that the establishment of the Joint Business Council and its meetings have created a favorable environment for the creation of direct trade flows.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to investments in the fields of hydropower, free economic zones, agricultural processing, mining and tourism development.

In turn, Muhammad bin Saleh Al-Suwaih expressed the full readiness of the Saudi business community to strengthen cooperation and direct investment in projects in Tajikistan.

As the next practical steps, the parties agreed to hold the next meeting of the aforementioned Council on the sidelines of one of the international exhibitions in Tajikistan, which are planned to be held in 2026.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to implement joint projects.
