On 28 July 2026, in the city of Brest, Republic of Belarus, the regular meeting of the Tajikistan-Belarus Business Council and a B2B meeting between business representatives of the two countries were held under the co-chairmanship of Farhodshoh Rahmonalizoda, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Valery Boleslavovich Labun, Director General of the Brest Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Business Council meeting was held on the sidelines of the 19th session of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Belarus on Trade and Economic Cooperation. The Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan was accompanied by a delegation representing more than 15 domestic companies and entrepreneurs from the textile, agricultural, food processing, logistics, and other sectors of the economy.

During the meeting, Mr. Rahmonalizoda presented the international achievements of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Belarusian business community and invited Belarusian companies to establish joint ventures in Tajikistan, particularly within the country's Free Economic Zones, taking advantage of the available tax and customs incentives.

The Director General of the Brest Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented the significant industrial and export potential of the Brest Region, particularly in heavy machinery manufacturing, technological equipment production, construction materials, and modern agro-industrial processing. He emphasized that Brest-based companies are ready to introduce their advanced technologies to the Tajik market and implement joint investment projects in meat and dairy processing, the establishment of modern agricultural complexes, and the development of transit and logistics infrastructure.

A key practical outcome of the Business Council meeting was the signing of financial agreements between eight enterprises from the Republic of Tajikistan and Belarusian companies. This strategic initiative is expected to strengthen financial sustainability, enhance the production capacity of the private sector, and facilitate the inflow of direct investment.

During the meeting, it was also announced that a large Belarusian business delegation, headed by the Minsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is scheduled to visit Tajikistan in the second half of August 2026. A comprehensive programme has been prepared for the delegation, including visits to leading Tajik enterprises, tourist attractions, and business negotiations aimed at concluding new cooperation agreements.

At the conclusion of the meeting, representatives of the business communities of Tajikistan and Belarus discussed mutual trade and investment opportunities and agreed to continue efforts toward signing cooperation agreements and bilateral commercial contracts in the next stages of their partnership.

The meetings and negotiations scheduled within the framework of the Intergovernmental Commission are ongoing.
