CHAIRMAN OF THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN PARTICIPATED AND DELIVERED A SPEECH AT THE SESSION OF THE TAJIKISTAN-BELARUS INTERGOVERNMENTAL COMMISSION

On 28 July 2026, the 19th session of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Belarus on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held at the Brest Regional Executive Committee in the Republic of Belarus. The meeting was co-chaired by Qurbon Hakimzoda, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Yuri Nikolaevich Gorlov, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus. Farhodshoh Rahmonalizoda, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, participated in the session and delivered a keynote address.

In his speech, Mr. Rahmonalizoda noted that, thanks to the constructive dialogue between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Republic of Belarus, His Excellency Alexander Lukashenko, bilateral foreign trade turnover increased by nearly 30 percent in 2025. This positive trend has continued during the first half of 2026, providing a solid foundation for the chambers of commerce of both countries to advance toward deeper strategic cooperation.

During the session, the Chairman of the Chamber delivered a comprehensive sectoral presentation highlighting the current production and export potential of Tajikistan, as well as the strategic role of the country's private sector in implementing the national programme of accelerated industrialization.

The Chairman also presented the activities and international achievements of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan and its affiliated institutions to the official delegations of both countries. Furthermore, he reported on the successful outcomes of the B2B meetings held during the regular session of the Tajikistan-Belarus Business Council in Brest and informed participants about the planned visit of a large Belarusian business delegation, headed by the Minsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to Tajikistan in the second half of August 2026.

Mr. Rahmonalizoda invited the business and investment communities of the Republic of Belarus to establish joint manufacturing enterprises in priority areas of bilateral cooperation. He emphasized that the implementation of joint industrial projects in the Republic of Tajikistan, particularly within the country's Free Economic Zones and making use of existing tax and customs incentives, provides a reliable framework and strong guarantees for investors.

In concluding his address, the Chairman of the Chamber reaffirmed the Chamber's full commitment to strengthening inter-chamber cooperation and implementing joint projects.
